As early as the first trimester of this journey into new motherhood— my matrescence— I have made sense of a vastly changed, often unrecognisable world through plants.

Through wildflowers, and trees, and lichen, and moss. Through other than human beings— full of life and wisdom and memories; beings that have guided me through.
