WEEK 5: F(LIGHT)
A warm welcome to our last week together, week five.
And welcome to those just joining us.
Introduction
We are making our way towards a very special turning of the year, the deep dark of the Winter Solstice long passed us by; we are making our way towards the brighter part of the circle.
Towards Spring Equinox.
I hope that you are finding ways to mark this busy, emerging time, this altogether in-between moment.
Much change is filling our days right now. As we make this march towards spring, which might feel long overdue, we know that much of this change is positive. However, it can still be a hard thing to navigate.
Spring is simply not an easy time for everyone, and I am holding you closely if - like me - you struggle a wee bit with this time.
We hold so much inside us: the hope for the path ahead to be smooth and bright, alongside fear of the current moment’s uncertainty; mixed with the aching grief of all that is happening globally.
Like our world, we too choose how we step forward with each new day. We may be closing this time writing together, but this is also a new beginning. We have written our truth, as best we can, we have shone light on places we had perhaps long hidden away; we have thought, in silent moments, of what we hope the future holds.
However you have approached this course, whatever it has brought into your mind and heart, no matter how much or how little you have written, you have shone light on things that are only yours to share.
The light out there, in the part of the world from which I write, is returning; I watch it sing out from a new moon, nearing Equinox sky.
Particular light, when it comes, it comes to change us.
Some light, when it comes, it comes to stay.
