Hello beauties,

I so much hope you are all well and the sun has kissed your face over and over today…

At the bottom of this mail, paid subscribers will find the zoom recording of a conversation with writer Helen Jukes.

A truly humbling, joyful and expansive thing it was to be in her company, and I hope you enjoy listening in .

As always, be gentle with yourself as some of the topics covered here may be triggering.

For clarity, I am so sorry I called

Wendy Pratt
Helen here, I am still quite deep in the pregnancy brain fog / postpartum haze - of carrying and losing my wee one, allbeit an extremely early birth, at the end of last year. This is something I feel quite passionate about, speaking truth to our lived bodily experiences in pregnancy and postpartum, and this is something I’m not sure any of us has read enough about: the ways in which we may be changed, no matter how long we carry our wee ones for.

And no matter that I got the wrong name , you should read Wendy’s gorgeous, tender book I mentioned - THE GHOST LAKE. It is changing my whole relationship with mothering and loss.

I feel like it’s a great companion book for MOTHER ANIMAL, in many ways.

Read them together, then get yourself outside into that beautiful, aching, wondrous world…

This zoom offering is part of m o t h

e r - mothers in ecology.

You can read more about my hopes for this offering below.
